Secretary of State Charlie Daniels is very proud to announce the ELECT program – a voter education program aimed at high school and college students to encourage their participation in the democratic process. In the 200o presidential election, more 18-25 year olds voted for American Idol than voted for President of the United States. By participating as ELECT interns, students learn how to vote, where to vote, why it is important to vote and how their voice does make a difference.
